I am guessing the whole point of this Arya side-story is that she is going to play an assassin's roll and they needed to show us how she got the training.

I kept on waiting for her intestines to spill out because of the massive gaping wound she had in her abdomen from the multiple stabs and knife twist. Even if she was stitched up that would have all ripped with the crazy parkour she was trying. She should have died.
That whole scene was just hokey, especially after all the merchants were more worried about their fruit than Arya and none of them ran away. It's almost like people get run down and killed there on a weekly basis.
