Sorry I'm wrong on the Meteor its 200 miles.
I used to play that game, one of my personal favorites was Harpoon by 360 studios, which was a pretty deep game. The best part of the game was there was absolutely no unit balancing, the units whether ships or planes or subs matched their real world performances. So if you were Russian, you were at a pretty real disadvantage with the exception of long range missiles, but your sensors were pretty crappy. You really had to be good with your recon.
The sub portion of the game, you had to be incredibly patient, you couldn't go to flank speed, you had to keep an eye on how much noise you were radiating and have a smart patrol plan.
I also loved fleet command which at the time was just graphically cool as you could wathc your planes and ships in action and it also used the Janes series of books to define your unit capability.
