So basically you have three candidates that various, significant portions of the population are willing to vote for, which normal democratic countries would call a good election. But in the States you basically have two parties and media pushing the one candidate away saying...
two big money backed parties battle over which candidate will run the country as they're instructed by companies and billionares, and you're about to screw the democrats out of our comical election process where 90% of voters automatically vote for one party regardless of anything, and the other
"alright, that's enough you're starting to cut into the real election where the 10% are bull****ing that their vote is up for grabs".
What a joke of a country. That's not democracy.

You are correct in that America is a Republic, not a Democracy. Been like that since 1776 I believe. The electoral college is why there will never be a third party of relevance, not the media. A third party run by Bernie here would allow Trump to become President with as little as 20% of the popular vote because three strong parties makes it almost impossible for anyone to get to 270 and win outright. And needing 270 to win outright will never change so while there could always be another party to replace one of the two, it will always be a two party system. And just to bug Bernie supporters yet again, it'll always be a two party system because of.....math. #FeelTheMath
