No.
Women's hockey is even worse. Canada in a class of it's own, the USA not too far behind, and then a massive drop off in talent for the rest of the field.
At least in men's hockey there are 5-6 teams that are competitive. This new World Cup format will offer 8 competitive teams which is refreshing and better than the Olympic format.
