Has anyone looked at the Flames forward depth lately and looked at the Penguins and Sharks rosters? It's nice to have great defensive depth but you need forwards that can put the puck in the net and the Flames have Monahan, Gaudreau, and Bennett and the rest are role players and bottom 6 talents. Addressing this lack of depth via free agency is going to be extremely costly so I feel even if the team really likes one of the defensemen they will probably pick a forward.
Ya, there's many ways to build a team, though... I'd be ecstatic with a solid G and the league's best Top 4 D...the forwards score now, and then young guys are still improving, so I see no issue picking a D if they figure he's BPA
