Offensive defenseman or defensive defenseman or best all-around? I'm assuming best all-around. Guys like Reggie don't get the credit they deserve as the shut-down guys never do. Same could be said for guys like Hamrlik. Maybe even Smid.

Best all-around, I think MacInnes is hard to argue with!

There should almost be two different metrics for defensemen!
