Goes without saying, and it's all part of the package and the press will be laser focused so him, will be interesting to see how JM carries himself on the touch line and in the press room when August comes round.
This isn't hot-headed Inter or Real where there is so much ego and politics involved at those clubs from the owner down through the board all the way to the boot room staff, and he fits right in with the high charged atmosphere. It's not Chelsea where he also had a maverick owner and JM had carte blanche, especially the second go-round.
Depending on who you read he had a to convince the board heavily, something he hasn't probably had to do the last few gigs. A board who is still used to Fergie and over two decades of stability, after hiring two low key guys in Fergies wake. So the convincing them isn't to do with his results, likely the means of achieving those, and maintaining those results over more than one or two seasons without scorching the earth at the club with loss of younger players or losing tens of millions of overpaid transfer fees. Or, simply, convincing them that the manager is not trying to be the star of the show. Of course Fergie had his ego and blowups, but JM is a different cat when things go sideways and can almost be said he starts looking for the side door given his past experiences.
With JMs respect for Fergie and his legacy there, and guys like Charlton etc watching him closely, and the expectation that JM wins, and does it with some civility, could we see a more subdued personality trying to fit in and not rock the boat? At least to start?
