And this is the problem with the Environmental movement, they're as Stalin would call them useful idiots.
Obama went around bleating about Canada's dirty oil and lied about his reasons for rejecting Keystone (wouldn't create jobs, had a big environmental impact) and the masses believed him, all while he oversaw the construction of massive pipelines and sat back while the dirtiest oil field on the continent in California continued to pollute and re-approved off shore with shoddy practices.
Meanwhile the environmental groups and natives up here were treated like mercenaries and paid not to believe in anything but to bleat catch phrases and try to gum up the works.
Its really brilliant the environmental movement that goes after the Oil sands and pipelines were willing whores lining up with their hands out for more money.
So how do you fix it, you limit their involvement in assessments and don't let them gum up the works.
You remove charitable and tax free status from groups that receive funding from outside of Canada directly or indirectly, so if you want to receive money from the RG or Tides or any of them then you pay taxes on it.
If you want to be involved in the assessments you have to write out your points before hand and you're accepted or denied entry, and if you deviate in the first minute you're thrown out.
At the same time, Canada should mirror Obama's protectionist practices of buy America, and force provincial governments to buy Canadian and support our economy.
I've said for a while that the Americans, while they're still our friends, are not good friends like they used to be, and they've spent the last 8 years completely screwing us over.
