I'm not saying Brown is the next Thornton, but it's a bit crazy to already compare him to Colborne when they got nothing in common except height at this point.

Of course. I thought that Colborne's possible future peak was obvious enough for me not to mention. I like Colborne, and there's a good chance he reaches peak in the future, especially since he didn't play 80+ games this season.

How do I know that Brown's offensive peak will be closer to Colborne's level? Really?

Let say Colborne reaches 50 points next year.
Or maybe Colborne surprises us and peaks at 60 points
Lets say Brown is an absolute steal and gets between 60-80 points.
Thornton got 114.

As long as Brown gets between about 0-85 points, he's going to be closer to Colborne than Thornton in terms of production. Though all of this is nonsense, since they're all going to peak in different NHL eras (10 years apart).

So Brown is likely to be closer to Colborne in peak production, but closer to Thornton in style. Thornton blows them both out of the water in terms of prospect quality. But they're all valuable.
