Using a mall parking lot as an example, there is less chance of a pedestrian walking through the middle of the spot you are backing into, than somebody walking down the roadway that you are backing into when backing out. So in theory it makes sense.
However if we are advocating the the strugglers practice backing into parking spot, can we please ask them to learn to merge before we have them work on backing into spots?
