1) What if Flames faires well in the 2016 NHL lottery and took Matthews or a Fin, or conversely, what if the Flames didn't win a few meaningless games down the stretch
2) What if Dallas won their series against St. Louis and gave us an excellent trade piece with the 1st rounder

4) What if Burke didn't extend Stajan for 5 years
5) What if Burke didn't hold out on Cammy until the deadline and traded him earlier
6) What if Feaster waited until training camp to trade Tanguay
7) What if Iginla agreed to the Boston deal
8) What if Burke doesn't trade for Smid and keeps Brossoit
9) What if Feaster doesn't give Wideman a NMC
10) What if Riberio agrees to the trade and Flamed get Arizona's 1st

I get that you're doing your very best to be pessimistic but the bolded are just ridiculous in terms of suggesting they'd have made a huge difference in the big picture.
You are really reaching with the bulk of those.
Making decisions is a huge part of running a sports franchise, and you could make a list like this (doing a much better and more realistic job that is) for every team.
