When did his place close down? I remember a place like that, grumpy Asian and all. I can't remember where it was or what the guys name was. The shop was eponymously named. Something like Larry's or Leo's or Jimmy's or Gary's.

Back in 2009ish, I knew he was closing up shop and wanted to swing by last day, last minute to see if there were any steals to be had. Got caught up at work unfortunately, but decided to check it out anyways, even though I was beat. It was literally a dark and stormy night. Dead of winter. Shop was all closed up, but on a whim, I checked out the back alley... and there were boxes upon boxes upon boxes of camera, lenses, parts, miscellaneous crap, all tossed in the dumpster. Most of it was garbage for a reason, but of course I giddily rifled through all of it with frozen hands.

Snagged some old SLRs, rangefinders, box cameras, tons of lenses, polaroids, brownies. Russian, German, Japanese. No Leicas or Hasselblads or anything close really. Tested a handful of the bodies, probably half of them have worked so far. Most of it still sitting in my storage locker mostly untouched, to the chagrin of my better half.
