But the supers will simply say "Hey look at 1988"....when Dukakis held 10 point leads over Bush in August polls of that year. In the November general election...Bush won by 7 points and absolutely crushed Dukakis in the electoral college. Bernie's shot is winning California by at least 20%, if he can do that maybe he can play the Hail Mary card. But polls mean nothing until at least September and really only after the first debate. Remember it looked like a sleeper dormant election in 2012, then Obama bombed the first debate and Romney pulled ahead in polling (and still lost to perhaps put the final touch on why polling doesn't mean anything right now).
