That USA roster is another one where they picked guys for roles.
Callahan, Dubinsky, Abdelkader, over guys like Ryan, Kessel, Tyler Johnson, Atkinson, Palmieri, etc.
Even on defense it was weird. Both Erik and Jack Johnson were horrible picks. Guys like Shattenkirk, Leddy, Faulk, Gardiner, or Martinez are better picks than those two.
Although I think they were the team most impacted by Team North America. Lots of good young Americans on the U-23 squad.
