Natural will go gray. I leave the cedar on my veggie gardens like that because I don't want chemicals near them. But for my deck and furniture I built I use Sikkens SRD.
This is the older CRD that you can't get anymore. SRD is a bit more opaque, but not totally solid. Colour is "Natural" 078, I believe.
