He was not in the conversation for the Hart per my recollection. I would put:
Iginla's Art Ross, Richard and near Hart trophy
Lanny's 66 goals (behind only Gretzky)
Macinnis' 100+ point season, 2nd in Norris
all ahead of this one.

I'd put MacInnis' season above this one, except Nilsson's scoring was so far beyond any other Flame, and you had to have been there to really appreciate how amazingly good he was that season. He, Dionne and Bossy might have got a few Hart trophy votes, but this was when Gretzky was nearly at his peak.
People shouldn't confuse the Nilsson of that season with the Nilsson of later years, when his inconsistency and apparent lack of commitment had him in Badger Bob's doghouse.
