I don't think Yzerman ever even entertained trading him, he probably pulled Cooper into his office and made it clear that when Drouin came back up to give him plenty of opportunity. I think both sides have mended the fence, he will stay, they will let Stamkos walk because cap wise it makes too much sense.

His agent is going to be hell to deal with on his contract renewal. His agent is the guy that was very pursuing of a trade. Not a doubt in my mind he is going to be hell come contact time as well.
