Usually I don't care for what Burke says but he's been irritating this off-season. First the "we have 8 guys we really like" which flopped "we have a ledge of top 6" a week later after the lottery. It's one thing to not show your hands but flip flopping like that and this comment re Coyotes GM doesn't impress anyone.

I don't consider it a flop at all. That comment on the 8 guys was before the draft where there was a slim possibility that the Flames drafted 8th. Just playing the game. Now after the draft we draft 6 and low and behold he says the ledge is after the sixth pick, which the Flames hold. Translation: it will cost you if you want to trade up to this spot.
Every bit of everything that is going on right now is a smoke show with everything little bit of it calculated and said with a purpose.
