There is an active group of protesters against light rail in Edmonton.
A foot bridge is being temporarily removed during construction and some people don't like the route.
The contract is awarded for construction but there is an active group that wants the city to undo 10 years of effort and plan a new route that doesn't impact what they care about.
That, and I thought the protesters were really rude during the ground breaking. They stood directly behind the mayor/officials and shouted over his speech.
