Oh crap, I just remembered another borderline Darwin-award incident. Right after I got my drivers license, I had my dad's new audi out in Invermere. Went to the old Skookum gas station, bought 8 roman candles. They were duct taped in pairs above and below the driver and passenger windows. The rationale was to drive along 93 at 4am, light them while driving. Wanted to capture the "X-wing in the trench" effect on tape (yes, I did say tape, if any millennials are wondering). You can fill in the blanks with where our brains were at the time. So, yeah, we didn't figure the roman candle casings would get hot and duct tape actually burns. Very lucky we didn't start a fire in that semi-arid valley becausee the candles shot everywhere but straight forward. And explaining the paint damage and melted window trim to my dad...
