Well I think Kulikov, Matheson and Bjugstad are pretty solid non top 10 1st round picks.

But yeah only Markstrom, Booth, Petrovic, Trocheck as significant players taken outside the 1st in 10 years of scouting and Markstrom, Booth and Petrovic were 2nds with Trocheck being a 3rd.

Just goes to show how much failure there is in the later rounds. The chance of getting an impact NHLer out of the 4th round or beyond is extremely low.

This guy's record makes Tod Button look like a scouting genius in comparison.
