These were contractors. Tesla has already shown the sub-contracting agreement with the construction company having an hourly rate of $55.

It's not a conspiracy to say the hit pieces against Tesla are coming hard and strong, which is not to suggest they should not be held to a standard, but the news org that ran original report on this story has already published a follow up piece further explaining the situation.
