For me it always comes down to whether or not it's convenient for my lifestyle at that time. If it ever starts to feel like a burden I've stopped completely.
In the last 10 years this would include:
- Looking for a job
- Struggling to pay for college
- Business trips / Vacation
- New GF that doesn't like weed
In other words, if it became legalized there's definitely less incentive to stop smoking, but it's not going to increase/decrease my usage if I'm already happily smoking frequently without it negatively affecting my quality of life (apart from what GreenLantern said, as it's not fun dealing with questionable dealers).
