Few things
My friend and I built a "fort" in the space between his shed and house. April can be rainy and wet in Halifax so we made a fire to stay warm. It spread, luckily to the shed, not the house. He had a much older brother, he came out and managed (somehow) to put it out. He them beat us.
Another friend's house always had a build up of water on the one side of his garage during the spring. We use to climb up on the roof and jump off trying to see who could sink the deepest in the ground.
We use to toboggan down a wicked path that had trees along the side of it. It emptied out onto a main road, leaving very little time to stop. We had a number of near misses and a couple of hits by cars. To this day I can't believe anyone didn't die. I have a distinct memory of getting hit up onto the hood of a vehicle and land with my face against the windshield. The driver took me home and report back to my mother. First thing she did was slap me up side the head.
