My friends, cousin and I deserve medals for being morons growing up. I have a laundry list of things I or we did growing up. I still look back and cringe at a lot of it and wonder how I'm alive or not seriously maimed

- thought it would be genius to light our skateboards on fire after dousing it in lighter fluid. In my basement. Result, smoke filled basement and massive grounding. I'm honestly still surprised we didn't burn my house down

- "luging" from the top of Signal Hill where I lived on our skateboards down to the Macs. I'm surprised we didn't hit any cars or get hit by any cars going down. Not to mention bailing at a high speed with zero protective equipment.

- trying to open my frozen basement window to sneak out by lighting a candle and attempting to heat the ice. It never worked. I remember moving out of that house years later and the burn marks around the window sill were still there. :face palm:

- driving drunk once when I turned 18. I'm so thankful I never hurt anybody or myself. I never did that again and never ever drove even after a single drink.

- hitching on our skateboards when we got our first cars, going up to 60km an hour.

- lipping off and almost getting our asses kicked by a gang of drunk idiots who were obviously bigger and more dangerous than us

The list goes on and on... These are just ones I can remember at this point. I pray my son doesn't do half the ##### I did when I was growing up.
