I just didn't have great control with it, so having that much in the house on a slow/boring day was way too tempting. Just sucked how whenever you feel like just having a joint, you end up with a big bag. That'd be like someone who doesn't have great control with alcohol consumption, and the absolute smallest beer purchase available is a 24 pack. So now you have that in your house, tempting you.
It'd just be so nice to be able to walk into a dispensary like a liquor store, get enough for just the evening, and not worry about a bag of temptation beckoning you to the garage every time you're bored for the next month. Hence why I think legalization (and thus the ability to purchase much smaller amounts) could actually decrease usage in regular smokers.

That's actually a good point. I smoke once a blue moon now. But if I want some, I either have to get my friend to come over, or buy a larger amount that I really don't want around my house. It would be so convenient to just go to a store and buy the small amount that I want.
