So to correct your claim, Hartley was 158 points away from not being a
finalist (which is what I'm assuming you meant to say)...which is actually more points than what the 2nd place finisher received. All coaches are technically nominated (since you can vote for anyone)...it's just the top 3 vote-getters are considered the "finalists" when it comes time for the awards show.
