I was lucky enough to know Hakan Loob a little bit. My aunt used to work a lot at the Scandinavian centre and somehow got to be friends with A few Swedish Flames throughout the 80's and 90's. I got to meet Hakan Loob, Thomas Forslund and Roger Johansson. Anyways, Loob had 2 kids, the youngest was my age and we were pretty good friends until they moved back to Sweden. I still remember I got a little remote control boat from them for my birthday when I was 6. When Hakan realized I really loved hockey and the flames, he got me a bunch of old sticks and his old red helmet. I remember using Rick Wamsleys stick for street hockey, and I used to wear the helmet playing shinney, more because it was so funny looking. Then before they moved back they gave a bunch of their old furniture away and my parents somehow got their bed, and it was handed down to me growing up, and I used the frame all the way up until about 5 years ago... It was a pretty sweet bed. Anyways cool story bro, I know... But he's always been my favourite flame!.
