The race hasn't been close since Super Tuesday. This whole narrative of Bernie getting screwed out of the nomination is false. He was never close. He was closer than anyone predicted he would get but the race was never close.

On electability, yes Hillary is way more electable than Bernie. The poll stating 40% of democratic primary voters wouldn't vote for Hillary is one in the midst of a heated fight, (these numbers always drop after the primary is over), was a poll of primary voters as opposed to democrats (only 16% of democrats which is not a historically high number) and was the outlier of several polls.

Note that as far as I can tell no one has asked the question of Hillary voters if they would vote for Bernie.

So Bernie gets the northern white vote and the young white vote. Both of those groups are democratic strong holds. His platform does not play to other groups like minorities (even though it probably should). Bernie would be turned into a communist and handily defeated.
