In the possibly too much information category, I had a saddle sore a couple weeks ago. It was so painful I couldn't ride anymore. The good news is it went away after taking some soaks in the tub with Epsom salts. I found the key was to make the water as hot as I could sit in, and lay there for 15 minutes.
After seeing some pictures of saddle sores being drained, I was definitely trying to avoid that if possible. I took three days off without any riding, and five more days only commuting, to give my butt a break, and it paid off. I've had two long rides since then and I'm back to normal.
