I mostly grew up in Queensland, it was a #### hole and probably has gotten worse since we left in '99. We moved to chaparral after that, finished high school (beaverbrook), then spent my university years living at my parents place. Commuting to the university was really bad at the time but my parents have stayed ever since and it's been a good place to host family events and they like it. It's a bit tough to visit them often becuase it's basically okotoks. Not awesome nightlife/entertainment options but you are close to some great golfing, camping and river swimming not far outside of the city. Transportation will be an issue until green line is done, new hospital is great, sikome/fish Creek used to be amazing until Douglasdale et al ate it all up but it's still pretty great around parkland.
