Scored an original 70s Technics SL-1200 on kijiji this weekend. It was filthy, the speed was way off, and the left channel was cutting out occasionally.
The speed was easily fixed with a couple drops of lube in the spindle and a helping of DeOxit in the 4 speed control pots (I've taken to calling this stuff "magic spray"). Rock solid now.
