Man, I just came back from Japan. No tipping with exceptional service. I loved it.

I think it is getting absurd here in Calgary. 20% for doing your job?

I've had situations where you get a beer on special (mentioned by the waitress) then drink too much, only to have the waitress charge the regular price when it comes to bill time, AND to have that stupid machine auto-tip 20%. Of course they are banking that you don't want to be cheap in front of your friends. Actually that should to in the GRMG thread.
