I generally tip 20% when I frequent restaurants where I'm a regular in the manner that a patron of the arts often donates money to an artist to help ensure that art can be produced. I prefer the restaurants in question keep operating because I'm very particular NAY picky and because it's food so I appreciate any extra care it receives.
