So what type of show/story is this?

If the answer would spoil it then don't bother, I will watch a couple to make up my mind. I am just not a fan of quasi-religious/evil spirit type stories.

From the previews I get that it is a Comic, but I don't want to poke around the internet too much, incase I spoil the show (much like TWD, I don't google that #### either).
