Some of yours aren't even relevant IMO. Andironack was garbage this year. Huska is getting nothing from Poirer, Klimchuck or Arnold. Not sure what Adirondack being in the Pacific coast has to do with the good? Even if the Kings clinch the last playoff spot, I'm not sure that's detrimental to the rebuild. Maybe you can argue that the winning season led to the Frolik signing, but that's about it. Plus there's no way the Flames draft Da Colle. It was either Bennett or Drasaitl. Both look like studs at this point so its a wash.

The only what-if that would make much of any difference is the lottery ball situation. That is pure luck. The rest, meh, perhaps marginally better returns, or marginally more cap space. I don't see the Flames being a perennial contender just because of those things not panning out in a perfect world.
