1) What if Flames faires well in the 2016 NHL lottery and took Matthews or a Fin, or conversely, what if the Flames didn't win a few meaningless games down the stretch
2) What if Dallas won their series against St. Louis and gave us an excellent trade piece with the 1st rounder
3) What if Burke didn't embarrass Baertschi publicly
4) What if Burke didn't extend Stajan for 5 years
5) What if Burke didn't hold out on Cammy until the deadline and traded him earlier
6) What if Feaster waited until training camp to trade Tanguay
7) What if Iginla agreed to the Boston deal
8) What if Burke doesn't trade for Smid and keeps Brossoit
9) What if Feaster doesn't give Wideman a NMC
10) What if Riberio agrees to the trade and Flamed get Arizona's 1st
I think you're greedy or impatient.

1) What if Monahan was another Tzakchuk/Fata?
2) What if Flames decided to go with Del Colle instead of Bennett?
3) What if Johnny was just a college star?
4) What if Brodie was just another 3rd pair guy?
5) What if Avs decided not to match ROR offer sheet and he had go thru waivers?
6) What if Gio was just another middling 2nd pair dman?
7) What if Bos traded Hamilton to Edmonton?
8) What if Glencross didn't waive his NTC?
9) What if Flames hired Benning instead of Treiliving?
10) What if the Kings had claimed the last playoff spot?
11) What if Jankowski didn't sign?
12) What if Flames didn't get an AHL franchise close to Calgary?
13) What if Giordano had held out for a bigger contract?
and so on....

Point is there is always good with the bad. Chicago wasn't Chicago that long ago. LA was a perennial mediocre team. New Jersey was a Mickey mouse organization. Things take time. Let it happen and enjoy it, no need to stress it out.

In coming weeks the Flames will be picking 6th overall, trying to sign a big name UFA, trying to acquire goalie, hire a new coach.

Who knows maybe Calgary Next might even get on the right path? Dare to dream but enjoy.
