Personally, I think adding the two 2nd rounders negates the risk for the Bruins. Out of those 3 picks, there is a really good chance that at least one pans out. Until those picks show fruition, I think the trade is a win for Treliving because less risk like you said, but not the home run most others do.

Look at the Oilers situation and how can you say with a straight face it wasn't a steal. They Oilers have had to got to free agency and pay Sekera, Nikitin, and Fayne a combined $14 million per season to try and fill top 4 holes and two of them are regular healthy scratches and the other is a 2nd pairing defenseman on a good day. It's easily one of the biggest fleecing we've seen in years to get a 22 year old 6'5" 40+ point defenseman for what the Flames gave up as defensemen like Hamilton are rarely ever available.
