Buying out Raymond makes too much sense. The cap hit on a buyout next season is lower than the cap hit for burying him, and the cap hit in 2017-18 is still low enough that it's not crippling.
I think Smid is likely done. He'll get paid for the final year of his contract, but I doubt he'll play another game. If need be, he'll easily clear waivers (and if not, even better for both him and the team).
There should be a market for Wideman. They'll probably have to retain salary, but that's better than a buyout. Oilers are a good fit. It would be a dream if they could swap picks 4 for 6 and only have to give up Wideman to make it happen.
Stajan and Engelland both seem to be well-liked by management. If someone wanted them in a trade, I'm sure Treliving would make it happen, but otherwise, I don't think they're going anywhere. Stajan also seems like a good candidate for a veteran leader on an expansion team in a year.
