Defensive possession may may sound like an oxymoron (and perhaps someone will provide a better term), but I don't think he liked the passive defensive setup at all. I hope that you are correct, because I for one am tired of watching us continually get hemmed in our own zone for extended periods. Kevin was the only one who would take the body and get the puck back.
Two points to note. Kevin was not touted as a physical defenseman when he came over, yet instantly played like our most physical one. Engelland has the tools and ability to be yet he wasn't.
This leads to the second point that Kevin was the most physical d-man because he wasn't around long enough to learn our stupid system.
I want the other team to have to pay in blood sweat and bruises for every second they spend in our zone. Not be given the outside track for free.
