What I do know is that Shinkaruk looked okay but didn't look like a guy who was obviously NHL ready and could contribute at a high level. I think he has a chance to win a job but personally I wouldn't even call him a favourite at this point.
Can't wait for some offseason moves though, I'm ready Treliving!

Unless Treliving manages to find new homes for Wideman and Raymond, plus maybe Smid(LTIR), there probably won't be room to trade for a winger, or even add a decent one in free agency.
My comments are simply "as it stands". I'm also trying to be realistic and keep my expectations for this off season and next season low. He could pull some rabbits out of hats again, but all I'm hoping for is for him to get the main RFAs re-signed, get a reasonable goalie tandem for next season and install a coach that can move us forward. Anything after that is a bonus in my eyes.
