Yes good sir you are correct, greatest super hero movie ever. Man alive, was that just an awesome experience or what.
The air port battle scene deserves its own recognition, right down to the Empire Strikes Back reference. Spider-Boy.. er Man, nailed it. I was literally howling a few times over his comments. But nothing beats Paul Rudd's "Here's your shield Captain America" I may have peed myself a little after that one.
My ONLY nit pick on it is that I felt Zelmo wasn't as good as he could have been given how great he is in the comics, but it felt like more of an origin for him setting up the future. I was also hoping they would have more villains in the jail cells, maybe show GSP recently picked up and possibly a CGI villain we have yet to meet in the movies but would recognize from the comics. The villains do play a big part in this story in the comics, used by Stark and co to hunt down Rogers and his group. I was also really missing the part where Cap recruits Frank Castle, I loved that part in the comics. They did however get the iconic shot of Ironman blasting at Caps shield, just totally nailed that one and I literally whispered "this is awesome" to myself during that scene. The comic book nerd in me was just in heaven. They had a nice nod to Spidey switching sides in Civil War as well with him and Cap having a bit of a moment and Spider-Man justifying the fight to himself mid swing.
But, really and honestly, its just little things. 98% of the movie was great, it was better than I was expecting and the bar was pretty high for me. The fight scenes were just on a whole other level. Bravo Russo brothers, I am very much looking forward to their next movie.
