A close friend of mine was the engineer on that train. He saw the guy sitting on the rail as they came around the corner at Southland and leaned on the whistle to alert him. Not only does it suck that a person lost their life here, but people have no idea the psychological and emotional toll it takes on the crew when they hit someone. People need to just stay off the damn tracks. That location is even fenced pretty well so there is absolutely no reason for someone to be in there.
