this is why i love the guys in my band. we've been talking for a while about throwing a private party again (we did one last year and it was a blast). anyways, becuz we'd be doing everything and charging people for the gig you can turn a tidy profit.

Ok guys, I'd still like to go ahead with my intentions of the May 28 show at the Abbey.With all that's going on in Fort Mac, and everyone that I know that is affected by all of it (including my step son) I was thinking of making it a benefit for Red Cross Alberta Fire Relief. Right now, Ottawa is matching dollar for dollar all donations made by and too Red Cross for this, so really anything we raise would be doubled. My goal would be $10,000. At $40/ticket, we'd meet that goal. I know those are expensive tickets, but I've spent more money on less, and quite frankly, I've spent far more on a foolish night of drinking, or some of my ex's! Just a thought right now. At $25/ticket, we'd still raise over $6,000. I was a fire fighter with hall 32 in West Kelowna years ago, and we were all here for the 2003 fires. So we can all relate to the impact it can have on communities. They've lost a great deal more than us.
