Carlyle also did a heck of a job for the Moose (1996-2005), and led Anaheim to their first Stanley Cup. Hell, he led the Leafs to their only playoff berth since 2003-04. When he was fired last year, the Leafs were 21-16-3. The replacement coach was 9-28-5.
Say what you want about Carlyle, but his record speaks for itself.
