Have to feel like the evacuation was left a little late in the game. After this is over i'm sure there will be a big review on how Alberta communities handle fires like this, especially with them becoming more and more common.

I'm amazed at the pictures of people driving thru/beside the fire. I lived in Kelowna in 2003 during the Firestorm we had. Communities were evacuated well before the fire got close.
I guess maybe that comes with experience. These things can explode and accelerate so quickly.
