Calgary hasn't won a division title in 10 years. I'd be overjoyed with one, let alone a president's trophy.
Fact is, Bruce Boudreau has by far the best resume of everyone on the poll. People can pretend they've watched a million other off-the-board coaches, but fact is we have a great sample size with Boudreau. So what if he's lost a bunch of game 7s? The Flames aren't even close to being in one. As Burke said, we learn to crawl, then walk, then run, then sprint. Pushing Boudreau away because he hasn't won a game 7 is ridiculous considering we aren't even a playoff team. Let's cross that bridge when we get there.
If Treliving does go off the board to hire his own guy, I'll trust his judgement and leave it at that. But as of right now, with the personnel that are available at present in front of us, Big Bruce is the best choice.
