Bad things tend to happen to good people, and NHL coaches definitely have a shelf life.
While we all appreciate Harley's quotes, the fact remains that his record here, short of an amazing playoff run last year, was crap. We weren't evolving this year, goaltending monster or not. The special teams have been a bit of a joke, and some days, the compete level hasn't been what we've become used to. His system seemed to work for a short time, but once word got out, that was it.
Consistency was a major problem with this staff, and I for one am happy to see a change. The time is right, and there are several good names out there.
I hope Boudreau is brought in, as I see him as the best fit, and what the team needs desperately. I also want to see some good assistants brought in.
