I have no opinion on firing Hartley one way or the other.
I'm not convinced our play style under Hartley was really all that different from that of certain "possession" teams (Chicago / Dallas / Pittsburgh under Sullivan) but some change could help, too. We'll see, I guess.
Maybe this will revive Mason Raymond's career and they don't have to bury him in the minors.
Whatever it is, the Flames need to become an aggressive, speedy forechecking team that activates its defense often and continues to use the stretch pass when available, because between Brodie, Gio, Kulak, Jokipakka and Bennett, we have some very good defensive zone passers on roster.
