Last year's goaltending was statistically average, and the Flames made the second round!
Seeing this, Treliving kept what got him to the playoffs. This goaltending fell off a cliff this past year, but there was a very poor goalie market and Treliving was unable to make a move.
I'd have kept Ramo, Hiller, and Ortio after 14-15. I think a lot of people would have. They were good for us in that season.

Yes, you are right. Goaltending fell off a cliff. It's up to the GM to make evaluations and make changes.
It was also stated on the CBC HNIC hotstove that the goalie market is pending Calgary to make it's move. There were options out there, Treliving
made the decision not to make any moves.
If were evaluating Hartley on the decisions he made, then Treliving is in the same boat and he failed on the undisputed #1 issue the Flames had this year.
